Booking and Payment Terms

Riverboat tours booked through the booking system on our website are paid at the time of booking using an available debit or credit card or another payment method offered by the booking system, such as Google Pay or Klarna. The available payment methods are displayed to the customer during checkout. After payment, you will receive a receipt and booking confirmation by email.

The operation of the tour will be confirmed no later than 12 hours before the scheduled departure. At this time, you will receive more detailed arrival instructions, safety instructions and, where applicable, agreed pick-up instructions.

Bookings Made by Phone or Email

For bookings made directly by phone or email, the customer will receive a written booking confirmation and, when applicable, an invoice.

For bookings made more than 7 days before the tour, the invoice must be paid within 7 days of the booking confirmation being sent. If payment is not received by the due date, Arctic Wild River reserves the right to cancel the booking and release the reserved places for resale.

For bookings made within 7 days of the tour, payment must be made at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed.

By separate agreement, bookings made at short notice may also be paid on site by debit or credit card.

Cancellation Terms

Bookings Made Through Our Website Booking System

Bookings made through our website booking system may be cancelled free of charge up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure time. In this case, the customer will receive a full refund (100%) of the amount paid.

For cancellations made less than 12 hours before departure, 100% of the total price will be charged and no refund will be issued.

If the customer does not arrive for the booked tour and has not cancelled the booking in accordance with these terms, 100% of the total price will be charged.

Bookings Made by Phone or Email

The following cancellation terms apply to direct bookings made by phone or email:

• More than 7 days before departure: 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.
• 48 hours to 7 days before departure: 50% of the total price will be refunded.
• Less than 48 hours before departure: 100% of the total price will be charged and no refund will be issued.
• If the customer does not arrive for the booked tour and has not cancelled the booking in accordance with these terms, 100% of the total price will be charged.

Cancellations must be communicated to Arctic Wild River by phone or email at info@arcticwildriver.com.

The applicable cancellation terms will be provided to the customer when a booking made by phone or email is confirmed.

Cancellation by Arctic Wild River

Tours booked through the website booking system are subject to the required minimum number of participants. All tours are also subject to safe weather and river conditions.

If a tour is cancelled by Arctic Wild River due to an insufficient number of participants, unsafe weather or river conditions, or another reason affecting the safe operation of the tour, the customer will first be offered an alternative date whenever possible.

If the alternative date is not suitable for the customer, the amount paid will be refunded in full (100%).

Weather Conditions and Safety

Safety is always our priority. For safety reasons, Arctic Wild River and the boat operator reserve the right to change the route or departure time, shorten or interrupt the tour, or cancel the tour entirely.

Such situations may include thunderstorms, strong winds, exceptionally heavy rain, unsafe river conditions or other circumstances affecting the safe operation of the tour.

If the tour is cancelled entirely before departure for safety reasons, the customer will first be offered an alternative date. If the alternative date is not suitable for the customer, the amount paid will be refunded in full (100%).

Late Arrival and No-Show

Customers must arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

If a customer arrives late and misses a tour that has departed according to schedule, no refund will be issued.

Bookings Through Other Sales Channels

For bookings made through GetYourGuide, Viator or another third-party reseller, the booking, payment and cancellation terms presented to the customer at the time of booking through that sales channel will apply.
